They played JOHN solo music but not Lindsey. So silly.

They didn’t play most of the Mac’s solo stuff, just Stevie, Christine, and John. No Zoo, no LB, Mayall, any pre- or post-Rumours members’ solo. Even the influences were dodgy at best. I only heard one Elmore James song, and no Beach Boys. But Billy Jo Shaver, Jackson Browne, and CSN/Y???

i'm glad it's over. i couldn't stop myself from having it on in my car, just in case somehow they do decide to play LB solo stuff. but it was not enough Peter Green era and of course no LB solo, plus way too much of "influences" that i cannot stand.

i learned i like some of Jeremy's stuff. i'm still not into Bob Welch jazzy stuff, bit compared to some other Mac eras, i can respect his music.

i also learned that over their many incarnations Mac recorded a lot of crap that i never wanted to hear and don't care to ever hear again.

all in all it was lazily put together channel. it could have been pretty spectacular, and it was annoying and meh.

I did hear I want you back from Mick's solo album.
C'mon now. Lindsey had hit records and rave reviews as a solo artist even top 10 hit. You cant normalize what you are saying comparing Lindsey's solo career to Billy Burnette's. Lindsey was a very long member of the Mac and was their producer. His solo career is lush with popular songs. Its obvious what they did. I don't buy your weak analogy at all.

OTOH, John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers “Blues Breakers with Eric Clapton” (aka the Beano album), which featured John, is largely considered a landmark album that made Clapton a guitar hero. “A Hard Road,” which featured Peter and John, was also a landmark album, and the first album to feature two members of Fleetwood Mac. Kind of important, wouldn’t you agree?

And, no Crowded House? I mean, I’d have cut two Neil interviews for DDIO.

That is not in dispute but its still not the same. Lindsey had solo albums during the 80s and 90s that were staples on MTV charting a top 10 single and top 20 something. Even his Holiday Road is probably so iconic that every generation knows it. He even sung on We Are The World record LOL. His solo songs even charted with Stevie's solo songs (1981) and Christine's (1984) which was a very unique feat to accomplish (according to Casey Kasem).
It seems you keep trying to rationalize this purposeful act with remote other acts. There is no comparison IMHO. Also, why would they play Crowded House on a Fleetwood Mac channel? They were not inspiration and their music has nothing to do with Fleetwood Mac. Lindsey being their producer of one of the most successful albums of all time as well as being one of their lead singers is clearly missing on such a channel.

I'm not sure why some are mystified. Did they not confine the solo songs to people currently in the band? Lindsey is no longer in the band therefore no solo music. Did I miss hearing solo songs from others who were no longer part of the lineup? (very possible as my listening was hit or miss and only when I was in the car)

I know he had some singles that performed well enough but didn't most of his albums not sell too well? Or I think I read that the first two sold average-ish? But the ones after not so much. I feel like he would've had a more commercially successful solo career if he had had better management and made less ~out there~ music. But then again he probably wouldn't have been happy if that was the case because it would've been like FM all over again.
And also, not to forget that he also had what is arguably one of the greatest movie theme songs ever!

Are you kidding me? First of all Trouble was a top ten songs. Plus LOTS of his songs were played ALL THE TIME on MTV. They played TONS of Stevie solos songs that were not hits. NOT BUYING it. The whole thing was BS.

I know he had singles that did well but I mean the full albums. As far as I know he never had a hit album. His first two sold the most and from what I know they just sold average.
