Why thank you
I was about to include something about a phony pony overspeeding on a highway because it is getting ready to sail out of the darkness to fight for Polaris, but that's for another list and forum... |

I have to agree that this is a clunker, and IMW is mediocre at best. Sad to see these two go out not with a bang but a whimper.

Sounds like a second cousin to Eyes of the World.
My guess is if you really enjoy Mirage you like this song. |

I do enjoy Mirage which is probably why I like this. At first I thought it sounded like a Tango song, but the more I listen the more I hear Mirage instead.

They are Mirage songs without the guitar solos.

What's up with that? Why no guitar solos?

It kills me. I can hear a beautiful solo at the end of FAY.

Mirage is my least favorite album, but I like this song. I also heard Tango in there but now I kinda hear Mirage too.

I want to change my vote! I picked "It's OK" before reading that there was also an option for "Love the harmonies, song is just OK." The latter is my vote.
The vocal harmonies are nice. I like the retro feel. I don't hold the lyrics against them. There's nothing wrong with a light, breezy song (although I could have done without the magnet/steel line - that one has been claimed). However, I am not into the electric-xylophone-kiddie keyboard-whatever the heck that plink-plonk is that we hear for the first 15 seconds and throughout the song. It really kills it for me. Nevertheless, I am most certainly buying this album. It's LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM and CHRISTINE MCVIE. Even at their worst, they're better than most. ETA: I just read in another thread that the xylophone-sounding thing is properly called a "marimba" - thanks fellow Ledgies! Last edited by sodascouts; 04-29-2017 at 04:54 PM.. |

In the new Mojo article Christine says that she thinks Mirage is a strange album and did not seem happy with it .Why would she agree to have their new album produced in that syle
Not that is strange.

I agree with you. At least on "Feel About You." It could be wedged in between "That's Alright" and "Book of Love" and not be really out of context.

I think like Stevie, she has no idea what album she is talking about half the time.

I'm not big on these songs at all. Last night I was hanging with my best friends. Their play list was on shuffle. Say Goodbye came on. It reminded that Buck McVie don't have that kind of magic. I will likely buy the CD because that is what a fan does. But I don't see this is as anywhere near their best.
