An 'If only...' scenario;
It's 1975 and Bob Welch is offered the opportunity to rejoin Fleetwood Mac. MF: 'We'd like to fill out our sound with a second guitarist. Would you come back Bob?' A 6 piece band with Bob onboard would have been something else. |

That doesn't mean that I wouldn't lie, cheat, and steal for a Welch-Buckingham-McVie record, or one where Stevie and Bob sing together on every song. |

Bob stayed so close with the band for the following years after his leaving. I wonder if he ever ended up on any studio recordings with them. |

Whats the world coming to - love hearing Stevie back Lindsey - just a great song to open an album Illume - pure Buckingham genius. Its raw, unconventional, emotional, hypnotic angry -fits the lyrics perfectly. How do you capture the feelings of 9/11 happening real time. Surely not a pop song or catchy chorus. Lindsey should be given a Grammy just for this song alone. Stevie's line about 9/11 hit home for me "its like a river, its never ending" For me, that describes the events of 9/11 perfectly. It was not just one big bang and one tragedy. It was one tragedy after another....all day. It was just like a river.. it was never ending. The story of Stevie in her hotel is riveting in the verse " I'm alone now, with my thoughts, how we could make it, how we could get out, what we've been through, all of the trauma, the smell of Nag Champra (what Stevie was burning in the hotel under the doors to keep the smell of death out), shadow of a stranger (Osama Bin Laden). Stevie is such a pure poet that sometimes it can be challenging to put her poetic lyrics to music. Lindsey hit the nail on the head with this one. Thrown Down - amazing Say you will - all about Christine and the Dance tour - begging her to Dance (tour) Smile at You - incredible Running Through the Garden - just wow, Lindsey made this song so good Everybody Finds Out - probably in the top 15 of my all time favorite Mac songs (all eras) Listen to this song with headphones on. Its a pure orchestra of greatness Destiney Rules - so good! Bleed to love her - love it

I've done a lot of research on Asperger's/Autism Spectrum. Lindsey could fall somewhere on the spectrum. He's a creative, tortured GENIUS! He's simply amazing, but somewhat lacking in the social department.

I don't think his social failings coupled with his abilities are enough to describe him as having Aspergers or Autism. The he may have some traits he doesn't have either of those. |
