I agree .I see alot of overrated people ahead of him and some unknown to me names too.Just another BS RS rating.

They probably ditch John McVie in a bass ratings poll too along with Chris on the keys in a keyboardist poll..

To be fair, i think he is exactly where he should be. Mick is MY favourite drummer, but that doesn't necessarily make him better/more influential than the others higher on the list than him.

Mick isn't a very technical drummer. So guys like Neil Peart from Rush, or Kenny Aronoff(or whoever) are always going to come in above him(I didn't read the article, but I'm not surprised that he was #60...at least he made the list!).

He does play with a lot of feeling, but that doesn't equate with technique.

We FM fans owe him a lot, because the band probably would've died 45 years ago, without him.

I will say that I think he's a much better drummer than Don Henley. But then, my dead grandmother is a better drummer than him....

In his books I think Mick pretty much admits he isn't the most accomplished of drummers, though what he does, he does well.

Surprised Rick Allen from Def Leppard isn't on this list (unless I've missed him).

As much as I love The Beatles... Ringo Starr at #14?. Isn't there a quote from John Lennon somewhere about Ringo not even being the best drummer in The Beatles. Though I'm sure that wasn't entirely serious I can't see how he merits a place at 14.

Someone who is really underrated is one notch below Mick: Clem Burke of Blondie. He's fantastic.

That's what I was thinking.

Neil Peart should be number 1. He can do jazz, rock, swing... anything..
