I have to disagree. She can only do what they let her do. They are choosing not to force her hand.

On the other hand, I agree with you about the tours. If they want to make the most of their time, they should focus on recording. New albums can be made in a few months, while a tour takes a year and a half. I wish they would finish the album this spring, promote it with a few high-profile TV spots, and maybe a one-off concert for pay TV, and then go off and do solo stuff for a while.

Well I agree the album can be made quickly and probably will be but the tour probably be one of the biggest cash grab ,farewell tour considering everyone around them is passing away they know their time is limited ,it's going to be expensive.

well, ok, fair enough.. they let her get away with it so she gets away with it.

But who knows how the contracts are written? Who knows who has to agree to what before things can be done? Knowing Stevie's team I'm sure there's all sorts of stuff in there.

What scares me is how she was always going on about the whole "we have to go away for 3 years and do other stuff and then come back again"....I hope the hell she's not trying to work that angle this time. Who knows who'll be around still in 3 years.
