Trying to see if any of my audio worked out - not the easiest place to record, lol... Thankfully, he answered the question about the tour whilst standing a foot away from me and facing near my direction, so this clip is pretty clear. Exact transcript for you:
Yeah, we’re planning to go out a little later than I would have liked. I think we’re going to have to work on young Stevie. But we’re going, we’re planning to be on the road in October of ’17. We need that to be a little sooner. Uh, I think it’s crazy touring in the winter… Well, we normally go all over the world, y’know, and I think that will - in our mind - be the last tour. It will be a massive commitment that will last about two years on and off like the Stones when they go out. And I think the girls will have had enough. Although, Christine, who re-joined Fleetwood Mac, and she’s an elder stateswoman - I won’t mention how old but she’s like a spring chicken. She phones me every week now and goes like, “We’re going back out, right?”

I'm going to start saving money now for tickets. I plan on getting good floor seats. I also really hope they play Sara in the US this time. Fingers crossed for Hold Me as well, but I'm not holding my breath.

Poor old Christine- I feel sorry for her. She comes out of retirement after all these years only to be faced with a big massive wait. My worry is she'll think 'Sod this, that's me done' again.

Sorry to bring this thread full circle yet again...but they need to do the album/tour as a foursome. Get on and live life while you have it!

I don't think she'd quit again. Maybe, she'll make solo work..

The quality comes and goes, but this is the entirety of Mick's M&G in Sydney - the bit about the tour comes about nineteen minutes in, I believe.

Thank you as always for the update! Good to know what lies ahead (and selfishly, I'm happy that this means Stevie has ample time for her own solo work).

I still believe, despite that fact the tour will start later on, that the "big anniversary year" will be successful. They'll probably reissue "Rumours" for the millionth time early in the year (and give us the final scraps of session outtakes or video footage). They might even give us a new 50th Anniversary boxed set, although that is wishful thinking on my part.

And of course they'll release the new album a couple of months before they go on tour. My guess is that summer. 2017 will be a great year for the band!

Absolutely. I couldn't agree more. I infer from everything I've read that Mick considers Stevie to be an essential element of the band, but why? I realize she's the most popular individual member (which I could never understand), but even without her the band would still be hugely popular. They need to scale down financial expectations a little, ratchet up their artistic expectations, finish the album with Christine and Lindsey, and go on a shorter tour as a foursome.

Either that or Christine needs to record another solo album (which she could easily do in a month, no fuss) and just go out on her own tour.

I have one thing to say to Stevie Nicks.

Either defecate or get off the karzi. You got what you wanted - Christine came back. Now stop acting like a spoilt brat. What if John gets ill again and doesn't make it before you finally commit?

If you do leave, Fleetwood Mac will be better off without your endless moaning and bitterness - none of your swords and sorcery lyrics can disguise it and you've had all the sympathy you're going to get re Lindsey from this generation of fans.

Enough said there I think.

I would like to know if anyone said anything like this about Christine when she left the group? Stevie has toured endlessly for like the last 8-10 years. Give the woman a break. As far as the bitterness and endless moaning, that is what I hear from haters on here more than anything I ever heard from Stevie.

Well we haven't heard from Stevie much at all, but we can infer that she has been difficult behind the scenes regarding getting on board with the bands (the other 4 who are on the same page) plans.

What do you mean if anybody said this when Christine left? She wasn't holding the band back. She left when she no longer felt she could do it anymore. It's a lot more admirable than what Stevie has been doing. And the difference between then and now is that they're nearly 20 years older and don't really have the time to waste anymore. If it's going to happen, if they're going to put out one last album before it's all over, it has to be soon.
