I'll be completely honest. The only song of Christine's that I absolutely can't stand is Sugar Daddy. It is sooo flippin' borning...

I LOVE Sugar Daddy.
Its so 1975 and bluesy. It could have almost went on Heroes are hard to find.
I love the Stevie harmony at the end

Yeah it really reminds me of Heroes too. I like Christine's LA + blues inflected pop more than the slicker stuff in the 80's.

It's possibly the worst song in the FM catalogue, too. What was Danny thinking when he wrote and recorded it? What were the band thinking? Peter apparently thought it should be the lead single from Then Play On. Can you imagine?!

Christine's version is just as bad, but there's nothing she could have done to have improved upon it. The real question is, what lapse in taste urged her to record it?
