What's up with the fajita thing? Is that a comment on her weight or something?
It's most likely about a few things:

1/ They were parodying her music in the song (Rhiannon, Dreams, Gold Dust Woman, and Landslide)
2/ She's from Phoenix, Arizona
3/ She was in the middle of a comeback after she briefly retired from music due to her weight

Today it does not matter about artists weight.Adele and others are doing great in the biz.We just have wisea$$ reviewers that are bullies.

Good luck on looking for a good copy unless it goes to DVD like others.

well, yeah, but.... Adele was bigger when she got famous ... Stevie was not. Stevie was super tiny and a sex symbol hippie chick. The difference between her at her thin heyday and her heavier, and let's face it, bloated (from the drugs) days was strikingly noticeable. So she was haunted so to speak by her own image from the past-- one she was not shy about showing off in bazillions of photo shoots with Herbie and in her own photo shoots late at night. She really actively crafted her own image, from the hair to the makeup to the costumes to the poses and the rest. Adele came on the scene looking much like she does today, body-wise, so no one is comparing her to a younger, thinner version of herself.

That said, what anyone's size or beauty or plainness has to do with their ability to sing or write great songs is beyond me.

I agree with you. The critics will kill the artist, but the artist will sell just as much nowadays. Kelly Clarkson had a #1 album recently regardless of her wait.

I think the Fajita Roundup sketch was supposed to be irreverent. You know, like what's the last thing you would expect to see Stevie doing... opening a taco joint. I don't think it had anything to do with her weight or Lucy would have been wearing a fat suit. SNL was never known for their subtlety.

Lucy Lawless is a Stevie fan. The burrito angle was comic, possibly brought on by the idea that several aged rock stars last prime have gone on to open restaurants. (Sandra Bunhardt had done the same with a sketch about Christine.) I remember watching it at the time and being amazed at how Lawless managed to capture so many of the Stevie vocal and body mannerisms.

Many consider "The Dance" as Stevie & the band's comeback.

Think about it, She went from having an album peak at #45 to an album going to #1, and being nominated for grammys
