Default A hail to the Tusk album's lyric sheets

I'm a stickler when it comes to lyric sheets. More often than not I cringe when I see how poorly lyrics are presented, mostly in the hands of hacks. Unessential ellipses... unnecessary repeats of the same chorus or verse, spaces in between that infer pauses, and the vocal sounds that aren't even words --the oos, arhs, ums and mmms.

The only reason for needing some of these things is if you have some need to replicate, note for note, every single element of the studio recording --the nuance, the pace, etc... But otherwise, on paper, it just visually muddles the essence of the lyric.

With the Tusk deluxe we finally get a lyric sheet of all the songs. And gratefully and surprisingly they got it right! (at least in my regards to my sensibilities). No ellipses in sight except one appropriate usage. All of the song lyrics are laid out with a simplistic integrity. In songs like Over and Over, and Think About Me the chorus appears just once under the informative title chorus. There is only one song - What Makes You Think You're The One - where some of the lyric appears to mimic the phrasing:

Every little bit
Is there
to see
Every little bit
Of you
And me

Seeing how the all the lyrics fit perfectly on two gate-fold pages, perhaps it was done deliberately for the aesthetic/graphic intent.
I could have just saved time and simply said the lyric sheet was tastefully presented, but I get carried away and my thoughts commandeer my fingers.

I've just started scratching the surface as I just got it late last night but can I just say the liner notes are amazing too. You think after all these years you know everything there is to know about a song and then you read something, some new insight into the recording of it or a story behind it, that you'd never heard before and it just gives you goosebumps. Mick's comments about the recording of Sara blew me away.

I had no idea that Beautiful Child was about someone else. And a lot of songs about Mick.
