I love that Stevie and Mick are saying completely different things here.
It's nice to see two sides of the story.

Other than the 4th paragraph about Mick and Sara which is perfectly credible, I don't think Stevie thought then, anything she says she thought then now. Not the poaching, not the rhythm train willingness, nothing.
I know Lindsey won't wear the cashmere scarves, but maybe if she knitted some for him ... Michele |

Thank you for the scans in addition to the transcript Nicole.
I would love a paragraph from Christine and John. As for Lindsey ... I know what he thinks. Michele |

she can thread through little moons and stars. he'd totally dig it ![]() Linds prob has an aversion to scarves coz Mick wears them Now if Stevie got him interested in kimonos again or black woollen berets ... ![]()

Thanks for posting this. According to Mick in his first book Stevie was well aware of the meaning of Tusk and threatened to leave the band over it. Stevie put up a fight about this when they wanted to call the album Tusk. Mick goes into detail about the dog and how the album was dedicated to Lindsey's father. I find that credible because how are you a member of a band and not know the meaning of your album. But then again who knows. It was 1979 and they were not in the clearest state of mind

Lindsey, I would expect sex references from. He's the opposite of prude, sometimes downright crude. He even has kind of explicit sexual song lyrics (i.e. the famous "shacking up is all you want to do" that upset Stevie so much! ) but Stevie using sexual imagery? Not so much. Well, unless it's so veiled I can't tell, anyway!![]()

They are each sharing insights from their own individual perspective. Rather than two sides, I see it two different shades of the picture. I hope the upcoming Tusk Deluxe has extensive liner notes, with Christine, Lindsey and John sharing their own perspectives from then and now.
