Nicks. The two could be heard arguing as a stunned audience
witnessed Mr. Buckingham's legendary temper. According to
eyewitnesses Ms. Nicks wanted to end the show as one of the
founding members of the group Mick Fleetwood (drummer) was
incapacitated (tacos?) half way through the set. Lindsey pulled
Stevie's in ear monitors off and as Christine McVie approached
Lindsey took his guitar and smashed the teleprompter Stevie had
relied on all night.

That must have worked. Because the band finished the set with
the most inspired versions of...

Name any concert of any group where a member leaves the stage incapacitated and continues to play without them. How do you perform without a drummer? Even if Stevie got sick it would be disrespectful to the fans and the group to go on like nothing is happening.
Fleetwood Mac is the only band I know of that had one of their roadies fill in for the song he knows and plays during a sound check. He does a great job but still flubs the song and missed the beat about midway. Fleetwood Mac is a professional band. They are not going to play botched songs. They are also not going to play songs they have not practiced for the tour. Someone even wrote they should have played landslide again. Now isn't that silly? How about a puppet show? Charades?

The Rolling Stones would not perform if Charlie Watts was ill. The Eagles were not perform if Don Henley was ill. Not sure why FM should be held to a different standard.

As soon as the show ends, the act stops between these two... or in this case... before the show eneded..

How things can so easily be exaggerated. I dont recall having the feeling there was any bad blood between Stevie and Lindsey that night. Their 'arguing' was, I'm sure just frantic discussions because they just didnt know what to do. Did anyone see him 'pull Stevie's in-ear monitors off'? I bet he just took them out. If that happened then there'd definately be film of it somewhere.

That said, they should have strung it along a bit more. They could have played a couple more songs. No chance they'll be back there in a hurry.

It would be strange to hear FM drumless on stage.Without Mick It would be odd.

I guess they called it a game like they do with baseball when they have mid game rain outs.65 minute is better then nothing like pulling out two hours before the show starts while fans are traveling from 100 of miles away from the venue and find out the the show was canceled last minute.I've been through that.

They could get away having Brett fill in for Chris when her hand was bothering her.She should have no issues on just singing her songs without playing them.

Mick is a trooper .He tried his best to do the 65 minutes before he could not go on.I've done that by hanging on being sick at the job.The boss was happy but the co-workers were not.

I'm glad that none of the rest of the band catch what Mick had that night.It would be more cancellations down the line.

That's a great answer but not a fair analogy. Kiss was aware Paul Stanley was not to perform per doctors orders well before the show. The band was prepared to give some sort of mutated performance. A drummer is much more key. I am sure if the drummer was ill Kiss would not have been able to perform. Mick fell ill during the acoustic set so those songs were over.
But taking this even further. Many Mac concerts were cancelled in 1987 because Stevie was ill. Is it right for the Mac to perform without one of its members? Lets say they did but removed Stevie songs from the set. There are huge amounts of fans that go just to see Stevie. So many fans would be demanding refunds because all of Fleetwood Mac did not perform.

And the WHO was out of their minds like their drummer. I doubt Mick wants anyone playing his drums let alone being able to play the songs. The WHO sounded like crap but everyone was so wasted they did not care.
