She didn't have radiation. She didn't even finish all of her chemo. But chemo and radiation leave their own permanent side effects, because they kill cells and tissue in order to save your life. I don't know what chemo and radiation John had. Even in that old tour video we saw John having to get a hand massage back stage. He was doing that before repetitive motion syndrome was something we all knew about. No big deal in your thirties and forties. Bigger deal today at their ages. Plus, it's pretty obvious that Stevie has some sort of chronic arthritic problem. And we don't know what's going on with Christine's hand. These are not things that cause anyone debilitating agony, but they are certainly nagging issues that make concert touring more arduous than lying on a beach in Tahiti. Michele |

I think touring must be absolutely grueling, for anyone. Day in, day out, the same songs over and over, long car rides and idle hours on a plane, every night in front of thousands of people who expect your best from you? And it's not like you can just stop once you're on the road because you don't feel like doing it that day. You're a commodity and people have paid for you so you have to deliver. Sounds awful. ![]()

No, she's never said anyting about arthritis. Both her arms and hands seem to need pain management though and the gloves (and sometimes rings) she wears are just therapeutic aids prettied up. I don't think they're there for fashion, any more than the Reeboks are.

Time to bump this thread. After their July 11th show in Ireland, they are off for 3 months. 3 whole months!!!!
The next date is October 22nd in Australia. Studio time? Will Stevie join? |

It must be a horrible life to have to work two hours a day
and get paid millions of dollars. I really feel for them. |

They didn't appear to be tired in London, if anything they looked energized to me. Unless they are very good at covering up fatigue . I always wonder how John is getting on after his cancer though, and I'm sure she needs the rest more than the others.
On a side note....I've just been listening to the Glastonbury coverage on the radio, and wondering to myself, if they might actually make it to the festival next year ![]() Last edited by MoonSister75; 06-26-2015 at 04:30 AM.. |
