I like how he spends so much time discussing Christine's mind set when she left the band and returned.

This is a very good interview. Thank you for posting, Elle.

He seems pretty confident that there will be a Mac album and it will include Nicks.

"the missing piece is just Stevie" doesn't scream she's on board.

Fantastic article. My respect for him just increased so much, reading that.

He really has mellowed with age, and learned an appreciation of others.

"But I think it’s going to be incredible when we finish it".

He sounds confident and he doesn't go on to say "with or without Stevie". People love to build drama when there isn't any.

I wouldn't say there's no drama. We don't know what's going on behind the scenes. My guess is there is drama, because there is ALWAYS drama. He also didn't say when they would finish it. Probably because he doesn't know and it depends on when they can get Stevie's in there. He's just leaving the drama out of his interview.

I think he's just being level, straight forward and sensible.

Perhaps we ledgies expect and generate most of that reality-show drama.

This is an amazing interview! Finally an informed interviewer asking the right questions.

Lindsey is infinitely the most articulate member of the band when speaking about their inner dynamics. His wide perspective and deep insights really get to the truth of the matters. I've never heard him address and discuss issues so sincerely and directly.

He seems to have more humility and gratitude than ego and attitude. I have a new-found respect for him. Aside from Mick's books, if any other band member decided to write a truly intellectual and authentic autobiography it would be Lindsey. In this interview, he pretty much has already done that.

Lindsey is definitely the band intellectual or "mad scientist." He articulates well but can occasionally be pedantic, particularly when he talks about cycles and painting on a canvas. If he hadn't succeeded in music, I could have seen him as a college professor, teaching Music Philosophy 101.

Line that got biggest laugh out of me: "The making of that album was the most chaotic and certainly the most intensive study in alternative behaviors, shall we say."

That could be the name of their new album.

So we’ve got that, and now the missing piece is just Stevie. The tour, and the rehearsals for the tour, had already begun, so, like I say, it’s been a little bit piecemeal. But I think it’s going to be incredible when we finish it. We’ve got quite a bit left to do touring-wise, and then we will sit down and try to formulate some kind of a plan. This is one of the differences between us and someone like the Eagles — I admire the fact that they always seem to know what they want, why they want it, and the all want it at the same time. And we are really just the opposite politically. It’s a wild animal and it’s hard to pin everybody down for a common vision. It’s kind of always been that way, but it’s a little more disparate now than it was back in the day because everyone sort of wended through their particular journey.

This does not sound like everyone on the same page.

"it's hard to pin everybody down for a common vision"

After the tour "we'll sit down and try and formulate some kind of plan"

It all adds up to different people in the band have different ideas of what will happen next and they've kind of deferred getting into it until after the tour so they get through the tour with some sort of tranquility.

Yeah this is what it sounds like to me too. He doesn't put any kind of time table on it or say definitely what will happen after the tour. Lindsey has been consistent in his desire to record an album and I think he plans to do that. He's not making any other plans following this tour. Sometimes things don't go as planned though and the whole band has to agree on it for it to happen. And it doesn't sound like that has taken place yet.
