Question Stevie's health?

I've been wondering when I've seen them that Stevie isn't moving real well. Does she have something going on? She seems like she is in pain & just can't move very well.

There has been some talk of Stevie having a hip problem - but I have not heard anything more detailed than that. Maybe arthritis or something like that. She has been having problems for awhile now - at least it appears that way based on her footwear!

She is going through a "change of life" right now, too, and based on my mother's experience - it sucks!

She has had some kind on ongoing problems. When I saw her on TISL tour she wore her Rebox and I knew something was up. I know she is older too..... So all considered...............

Someone told me that had talked to Stevie's wardrobe lady in Biloxi that Stevie fell after filming the Peacekeeper video and hurt her hip. They told me she needs surgery to repair the problem but she is waiting until a long break from the tour to get surgery and recouperate. She doesn't want to disappoint any fans so she is waiting. They also said during her two week break that just ended, she rented a home in LA with a pool to do some swimming to try and help it get better??

This is only what I heard second hand. I'm just glad to get a chance to see her.

The swimming must have helped because there were no hip problems anywhere in sight last night!!!!!

As for the tennis shoes, she said she started wearing those because of a broken toe, although I am sure the hip problem also prohibited the platform boots!!!!

I noticed she was moving quite wearily in the beginning of the tour, but I agree the break must've helped...because she was literally bouncing in Atlanta! And when her and Lindsey's "boxing match" was going on, she was literally HOPPING, like a boxer with her fists out, like she was boxing...

Brett Tuggle told me at the first Atlanta show that she had "gotten with a really bad chiropractor who had really messed up her hip", and this could possibly be due to therapy required after the supposed fall. It sounds like the injury and the bad therapy she was getting for awhile could responsible for the slow movements early in the Tour.

The fact that she kept performing then and is putting surgery off now should win the respect of many people who don't think much of her.

At any rate, there were NO signs of pain or feebleness in Atlanta #2. She looked like anything BUT an old, weary woman.

Not for nothing but Stevie doesn't seem to have good luck picking doctors out. There's the infamous therapist that prescribed klonopin and now this one. You'd think with all her money she'd be able to afford the best doctors.

I know. Unfortunately, it's just as easy to wind up with a quack even if you are a millionare. Bad doctors somehow manage to be found at all levels.

It sounds like things may be all spiffy with her hip right now. I am worried about her having surgery, though. I used to be an OR nurse, and it does have me curious and hoping she is getting top-notch care.

Can you imagine being the idiot who is responsible for missing up the "Queen of Rock and Roll"? That would be a scary thing . . .

Sadly, Sharon, she's donated the clothes off her back to charities; performed benefit concerts to help raise money and/or awareness for heart disease and leukemia; signed over the royalty rights of some of her more popular songs to friends who were down on their luck; delivered food to the firemen working during the clean-up after 9/11, and has done countless other acts of generosity and philanthropy... and some people still aren't pleased.

But she has my utmost respect for all of these things, and so much more.
She's a class-act.
