Default Vinyl I got today!

I went to Half Price Books today and got another copy of Bare Trees (great shape!) and I went over to the country (?) section to look for some Dolly Parton records, and lo and behold...guess what I found?!!

The 1988 Greatest Hits on VINYL!!!! I was like "WOOHOO!!"

I was looking for Kiln House and any pre-SnL records, but only found Bare Trees, which I already have, but wanted a spare of. Heh. I also wanted a better copy of Penguin, but no such luck.

Just wanted to share my little find of a gem today!! Anyone find any gems lately?

I went to a local record store and I found two mint copies of the Buckingham Nicks LP. There were both 39.95 so I bought both.

Default WHEW!!

That's high dollar for a BN album, but they are a TERRIFIC find. I got mine on Ebay for 25 bucks plus shipping. Sounds to me like that record store knew what a gem it had.

Well, it's not a record but it's awesome...I went to Tunes the other night and I was paying for some CDs and waiting for my friends to get finished paying. So I'm standing there and I point behind the register on the wall and go "OHMYGOD! Is that for sale??!" My friend Stephanie sees what it is and goes, you need to buy that. So yep, I walked away with the Fleetwood Mac Say You Will lithograph for 15 bucks. It's now hanging on my wall

All of stevie vinyl? At last count I found 22 different Belladonna LP's alone. And the list keeps growing. Needless to say, I don't have all the varieties. (Not sure I want them all actually). Depends how completeish you want to be.

Also know of 4 B/N varieties. (must be more, but that is all I know of for certain) Just letting you know whats out there. Always something new it seems.

I am just happy (being an old one) that people still remember vinyl. Keep hunting! Thats half the fun!

Vinyl is awesome! The stylus is busted on our record player though, so I can't listen to any. My dad has a ton of vinyl, and in there he has Penguin, 2 copies of Mystery To Me, 2 copies of Rumours, White Album, Heroes..., and Tusk, all in good shape. Sometimes I go and root through them just to look at them. Looking at albums is fun! CD's....ick, too small.

It really shows how bad you get skimped on album artwork with CD's. Sometimes I look at them when I listen to the CD's. The Penguin picture of the band in the woods is all large and IN COLOR. They trimmed some off for the CD artwork too.

Opening up Mystery To Me and looking at the complete piece of art that adorns the cover is also great. YOU CANT DO THAT on the CD! When you open the booklet you get a picture of the band, and the other half with the penguin and wizard dude is inside the actual jewel case, which completely blows ass. It's such a cool cover!

Hey guys
I saw Mick Fleetwood's "The Visitor" on vinyl in a second hand record shop I go into to browse through sometimes...it's a good shop - I got FM live in Boston and Rumours for less than 10euro (about 11 US dollars) for both in there a while ago...one catch: I don't have a turntable! I'll have to scrape the pennies together and invest in one some day.

Christy that's quite a find! According to something I saw linked at burnish.net or somewhere, GH was the last CD also released as an album.

No, Behind the Mask was the last Fleetwood Mac album released on vinyl. I know because I have it. I've got all the Fleetwood Mac albums on vinyl from Kiln House to Behind the Mask. I even have 2 copies of Future Games-both the yellow & green cover, 3 copies of Mystery to Me-including one with the mistake on the back cover. I've also got 2 copies each of the White Album & Rumours-including the Dutch White Vinyl versions. The only solo vinyl I have are 2 copies of Christine Perfect-both U.K. original & U.S. re-issues & I have 2 copies of the Christine McVie album from 1984.

I love vinyl. I miss it. CDs are so tiny. And, the great artwork from the Tusk LP never made it to the CD version & the picture insert from Rumours was never reproduced for the CD version.

Thumbs up Great stuff guys!!

I hate to brag..hehe..but I got an imported record of OOTC quite a while back...it's mostly a white cover with the CD cover kinda rectangular in the middle. Not sure of the country of origin tho...I have the album along with Belladonna framed above the doorway to my room. I'm VERY proud of the OOTC album as I'm assuming it wasn't made on LP here in the US...was it?
