On your media player, are there little arrows at the bottom on each side? I was at Office Depot a couple of weeks ago and they were doing this with a different song. I think the salesperson doubleclicked on the arrows and it sped up the tempo of the songs. Let me know how it works.

eh. I read on a site that it's only the WM9 optimizied for XP, and I have ME.

but............

I went on Download.com and found a shareware program called Slow Speed CD Transcriber that lets you mess with the tempo without chipmunking (although you can alter pitch too!).

that depends. the trial version only reads the 2nd and 3rd song from each CD, which can be worked around. But it exports in .WAV format. Can your e-mail provider handle 30-40 mb?
