Also, Landslide was more than a little amusing. Dave Young got the dedication.

"Well, this is my dedication song. It’s a song that was written in 1973 so it has been, it has followed Lindsey and I like a shadow ever since, and it has been important to me and, I think, to him also, um, for a very long time. So tonight I would like to dedicate this to my first real boyfriend. I was a senior in high school at Menlo-Atherton high school and, um, I had been there for six months about, and my mom to said to me ‘You know, we don’t stay anywhere very long so you’d better make friends fast. Start making friends faster than usual.’ And so I met this drop-dead gorgeous guy and, uh, his name was David Young and I went out with him for many years. And so he’s lived his whole life here and taught school and, uh, he’s really a lovely man and had things been different, you never know. So, David, this is for you. It’s called Landslide."

Make friends fast, because we won't be here for long? What's the point of that then? Better to tell her, "don't bother making friends, because we won't be here that long."

Cram in as many boyfriends as you can dear, because you know your father will be transferred soon.
