I have wondered if it was a mistake. Maybe they were supposed to be promoting Fleetwood Mac, but "Lindsey Buckingham with special guest Stevie Nicks" is pretty specific.

If it's a Lindsey solo gig with just his guitar and Stevie showing up for a few songs, here's what I predict:

Big Love
Never Going Back Again
Soul Drifter
Peacekeeper
Say Goodbye
Landslide
Gypsy
Beautiful Child
Love Minus Zero/No Limit
Go Your Own Way
Goodbye Baby

Except for Peacekeeper and Go Your Own Way, the other songs are mostly acoustic. From what I understand, Lindsey has done an acoustic version of Go Your Own Way, and Peacekeeper would be easy to pull off as an acoustic number.

I'll take bets.

Okay - I may be going out on a Ledge here ( ) but I think it is tantalizing to think maybe Stevie would play some sort of instrument with him. I mean she can play the guitar and has before on stage, albeit that was 30 years ago She also can play the piano, albeit the last time she did in public it was not that great from a musical point of view Then there are the cowbell years!!!!

Can you imagine LB starting to yell when La Nicks flubbed her muscial parts, could not keep up with him, etc.

In any event, I know it sounds silly, but I think it would be way cool if Stevie played some sort of instrument even though I know history and her own comments about how she is not that great of a musician clearly indicate she will not.

I wouldn't exactly call what Stevie does on the piano "playing." She's even said herself that besides a few things, she has no clue on how to even play the darn thing. She only knows a few keys. When she gets near a pino, she sounds like a five year old kid who ate too much chocolate and is just pounding on it from a sheer sugar-high.

I don't think we'll ever see the day where Stevie plays an instrument live. Hasn't she said that she is incredibly nervous at even the thought of it? Yeah, she played guitar in Australia, but we can attribute that to the drugs breaking down her inhibitions...

Hmmm...I would have to agree that the probability of Stevie strapping on a guitar or sitting down at the piano to accompany Lindsey is terribly low. But I would add, that although her piano playing could accurately be described as "pounding," I did thoroughly enjoy her version of Rhiannon from Storytellers as well as the little bit of Sara we got to hear from the same performance.

Yea!! I am going!! I got the days off from work, too. This has been the best year ever!! I just can't believe it. I seem to have a little Mac (or Lindsey) guardian angel looking over me.

I hope this is how it is too. I also hope it's the start of a Buckingham Nicks venture that goes on after the FM tour is over. Stevie and Lindsey don't have to keep enriching Mick and John if the choose not to. I'd love them to finish out their careers as a duo. This should be the start of a whole new BN thing all over again! Sorry, John. Sorry, Mick. We've more than paid you back for taking us into the band. Now we're going our own way. LOL!

I was thinking about this minimal instrument thing we are all supposing will happen. I saw Heart a few months ago on one of those talk show things and they played with just a guitar and Nancy using this hand held silver thing that made sort of a cymbal (high hat) noise when shaken. They nay have had one other person on guitar. They were fantastic. It really caused you to ficus on Ann and Nancy's voices (which are incredible!!). So, I was thinking if not hoping this will be the same type of thing.

We have like three weeks to find out!!!!!

I think I remember a triangle hanging from her microphone stand in the Rosebud film (or some other such footage). She could break that out!

I agree! I also like the Rhiannon on the Enchanted box set.

Question to all of you musicians....why does Lindsey have to play the acoustic guitar? Why can't he use an electric guitar on the show? I'm not being smart, I don't know any technical music stuff and I'm not afraid to ask a dumb question!

I am not a guitar person, but a freind of mine who is says you can get more of a range of sounds out of an acoustic guitar a la Big Love live, which sounds like there are four guitars playing (Lord love ya Linds!)
