Yup, everything from the Dance video is from the third night, with the exception of Say You Love Me. That explains the banjo string breaking.

Agreed, everyone has their opinion...and mine is that "The Chain" on the Mirage Tour Video is the best version EVER. There isn't a bad song on there at all.

I agree...The Mirage video version of The Chain is one of their best. It reminds me of the Jefferson Airplane! (Anyone who is a fan of that band might understand what I mean)

And, like strandinthewind mentioned, there's Stevie's changing tambourines/streamers (right in the middle of a song!)... white... black... white... black.

Do you think her tamborine was dressed with the different coloured streamers so that the editors could tell the difference between the shows that were taped for editing purposes?

I do. Because everything else looks the same. Stage, clothing, lighting etc.

Isn't that kind of a strange setlist? Oh Well jammed in the middle of songs like Little Lies and Stand Back REALLY doesn't look right. Stand Back was an encore song? The bulk of the setlist is Rumours and Tango.

I'm not so sure I want this.

I loved the Tango video when it came out, but indeed it has not aged very well. For example, what was with all of those ugly pirate hats that Stevie wore? And the acid washed denim outfit she wore in the "Everywhere" segment... My favorite moment is during the "Everywhere" video, which is a collage of supposedly "candid" off-stage moments, which includes Stevie holding a lit cigarette in her hand...

There is a reason for reshoots, and as far as I can tell, Stevie was the only one who had them done. It is a bit more subtle than on the Red Rocks video, where Stevie looks luminous in the reshoots but haggard and spaced out on stage. Still, there is just too much editing and gauzy lenses to make this seem like an actual concert.

In the end, I think we should just appreciate it as an artifact of its time. Fleetwood Mac was adrift musically/artistically and they got swept up in the big hair and big lighting rigs. Still, it was better than nothing.

Well, going by at least the TITN tour show I was at, I'm sure that "Oh well" was much earlier in the set than it is here. I'm hazy on the rest but I don't think the order that's on the video was much like what the setlist was like on the tour and of course they leave many songs out on the video that were played on the tour setlist.

sigh.. of ALL the Mac concerts to release on DVD!
it WOULD be kewl if they had added footage, like any of the songs all of you have been kind enough to list from the tour. But the released video, just my opinion- was dreadful.
Rick&Billy were talented, but to have a Fleetwood Mac DVD released without Lindsey doesnt make sense to me, since theres the '79 documentary (which was released by Warners so i assume if they owned the rights then, they still do). And of course, the Mirage tour on DVD with the proper COVER would be awesome to have. The Brazil 'Mirage' DVD with Rick & Billy on the cover just is so dumb! By the way, those Brazil DVDs arent bootlegs, a friend has a few of them by various bands/singers- besides Mac, and the dvd quality is good, but the cover artwork all are awful!
I saw the Tango tour in Philadelphia and liked it just fine- but that released video with all the horribly overdone post-production audio and video, unfortunately, is a rare low-point of all of Stevie's filmed performances because it was tinkered with far too much. She was good on the tour, but the finished video doesn't do her or Fleetwood Mac justice.

More DVD musings- Why are Fleetwood Mac's and Stevie's actual music videos left un-released? Meaning the videos for the singles that MTV and VH1 would air, and that Warner Bros. and/or Reprise spent a lot of money on. 'Gypsy' never had a release even on VHS, what a missed opportunity. The Fleetwood Mac videos i can think of right now were 'Tusk', 'Hold Me', 'Gypsy', 'Big Love', 'Seven Wonders', 'Little Lies', 'Sky's The Limit' and I'm sure there were others.. Aren't they just gathering dust in the vaults? They could be put out and sell well as a compilation.
For Stevie solo, I thought Reprise would have been wise to release a dvd single of 'Sorcerer', 'Every Day' and 'If You Ever Did Believe' a couple of years ago, or even now. i see plenty of DVD singles in stores now, priced around $10 for 2 or 3 songs. Even Whitney Houston, on Arista, who had these 2 singles tank, has a relatively new dvd single in stores with the videos for 'One of These Days' and 'Try It On My Own'.
I think any and all of Fleetwood Mac's and Stevie's solo videos would sell well enough for Warners or Reprise to benefit from releasing them on DVD, certainly more than doing nothing with them, when fans (and maybe even a new generation of dvd buyers, teens and people in their 20s who have heard the songs but never have seen the videos) would buy them...

Remember....this wasn't the set list.....it was what was compiled for the video. It's obvious that this isn't the entire concert.
