Why was Mick carrying a guitar?

It looks like a small one, don't you think? Like a ukulele.

There are tweets from someone who said Mick was on his flight from LA to Hawaii. With his uke as we suspected-not a guitar.

@chrisdriggers

It would not surprise me if the Mail had incorrect details...often do so.

Yeah. I love the Mail for its photographs, but I never had any reason to think they were any good with facts. I don't know why they guessed east coast.

Hawaii would make more sense...Maybe the entertainment at the restaurant called in sick and Mick had to cover for them..."For your enjoyment the soothing ukulele sounds of Mick Fleetwood"...

I forgot about the restaurant! I was thinking he may go back regularly to see his mum and his girls (his twins and g/f if he has one / has the one who was with him last tour).

But why does he have it California? He is probably going to play ukulele on the album and if that doesn't make people run to get their wallets, I don't know what will.

Haha! I thought I read somewhere that he travels with it / keeps it close to hand. No idea where I got that but when I saw the photo it was somehow familiar.

Maybe it helps him woo the ladies...

ETA: here is one old article courtesy of Elle in which Mick mentions his ukuleles...20 of them!

The critical comments on the inaccuracies in the article are pretty funny.
