They'll obviously have to re record them, because the players on fleetwood Mac songs HAVE to be mick John Chris and Lindsey.

This whole situation has to be the weirdest mix of crazy amounts of joy and confusion and just what the f**kness any of us have ever had to witness.
THINK AGAIN...
The current sentiment in the "Rumours Sandbox" is that the other 4 especially LB should have nothing to do with any of Stevie's FM songs...

No one said anything about Mick and John not being on those songs. For one thing, Mick would probably play drums on one of Stevie's solo tunes, so of course he'll play on anything she submits to FM. For another, we know how John is about that and no one is going to insult him at this point in time.

I really don't understand why people are getting pissed off at Stevie for working on a solo record at the moment instead of immediately going in to record with Fleetwood Mac. For all we know, she and Dave could have planned on doing this long before Christine's announcement to rejoin the band.

This is nothing new with her. Nothing has changed. The band has accepted this fact ever since her solo career started in '81. They waited for her during "Mirage". They waited for her during "Tango". And of course the guys recorded for many many months before she came in for "SYW".

Can't we all just be happy we're getting new albums from both FM and solo Stevie? Not to mention a GRAND reunion tour from "The Five"?

Technology and society has progressed to an age of "we want it RIGHT NOW!" How about we let Lindsey, Christine, Mick, John, Stevie (and of course Dave) do their own thing, at their own pace, and in their own time. The quality will hopefully turn out better, in my opinion. We're definitely getting all three of these things, so let's just be patient, happy and grateful that this is even happening in the first place, shall we?

There is one potential change and if it comes to pass it is a significant one.Never before has she had her solo producer produce her songs for a Fleetwood Mac album. If that happens it would be unprecedented .

That would be unprecedented, yes. But we don't know if that's the case. All we know is that he's working on a solo project with her.

I would think if there are any songs lifted from those sessions to be included in the new mac record, they would use them as a template and re-record them a la the TISL version of "Thrown Down" versus the "SYW" version.

Just a guess, though. Who knows? Dave could very well become involved in this new FM project.

Don't worry Dave & Stevie will at the very least be co-producing her FM songs...

Stevie was co-produced by John Shanks on one SYW track. I forget which one. So it has happened. Also, it was written recently that Jimmy Iovine went into the studio during the "Mirage" sessions to give his feedback on Stevie's tracks on her behalf.

I definitely forsee that Dave will be co-producing (at a minimum) Stevie's FM songs.

Yes but very much expected and I think Lindsey is OK with it.

This needs to happen...Personally I don't think Stevie's recent FM songs have benefitted greatly from LB's production...

She handed the band "Juliet" & "Joan Of Arc", in addition to the others on Tango.

In my opinion, Lindsey did not do anything magnificent or unique with "Twisted" - which is a great composition. It was middle of the road production. Nice & pleasant - kinda like his "EP" material.

Not to mention she handed over the motherload on the SYW project??

So something sure changed?!?

^^^^^^^^really? I'm sure even Stevie understands that she can't put her songs on a fleetwood Mac album without at the bare minimum mick on Dums and John on bass.

She wouldn't even want to.

Which is asinine! That is mainly the anti-Stevie fringe talking over there (not surprising, at all!) Meanwhile they totally choose to be ignorant of their own poll results (majority favoring Stevie) about whether to wait for Stevie, or release the album as a foursome without her. Currently standing at 70% in favor of waiting for Stevie, to almost 30% saying release it now without her. It's worth mentioning that these results are without the majority of Stevie fan members even voting, because they have grown disgusted with The Ledge and it's negativity, and refuse to come or post on this board anymore. Not that sales matter anymore, but this is consistent with Stevie bringing FM 2/3rds of their audience.

SYW just sold @1/3rd more than TISL.
IYD sold 500K worldwide (200K just in the US.) So I would expect a non-Stevie FM record to sell @66K. And a FM record including Stevie to sell @300K (in the U.S).

Oh yeah, what were Lindsey's sales for his last 3 solo records
