Talking Point Me Out To Some Good solo Stevie

I downloaded Edge Of 17 just because I remember liking it on the radio, but haven't heard it for a while.

If she has other stuff that rocks like this I want some more!

I don't want to go hogwild on solo Nicks purchases... so could you point me out to her best one or 2?

Thanks!

If you must post, do you think you could do so without being offensive? It seems to be a habit.

Yeah Eric...tone down your comments. I'm a straight female and I even find your posts illuding to gays offensive. I don't get it--if you're trying to be funny, you're not.

EDIT--and by the way, I know a lot of STRAIGHT men who like Stevie.

If I'd have written a song on "Rumours"? How about "You want a what?", or "We should have had a Pre-Nup". (John McVie)

I for one think its awesome to see straight guys like Stevie. Two well known Ledgies come to mind - our room admin, Johnny Stew & our Darklinensuit Jake.

Personally I dont care what your sexual orientation is, however I wouldnt slam you for it and I would hope we here could be above slamming others for theirs.

Thanks for the mention, but I'm actually gay too.

I confess I played it "straight" in the early days of the Ledge boards, because I was still struggling with my own issues... but those days are gone now, and I came out around 2000. (Thankfully!)

At any rate... and I don't wish to speak for Eric here... but I'm certain his motivation wasn't to bash homosexuals. His comment was meant purely in jest, in a tongue-in-cheek way.

But it is VERY cool to see the Ledgies in this thread working to make sure this is a comfortable place for EVERYONE.

Eric... to answer your question, you can always start with Stevie's 3-disc boxed-set, 'Enchanted.'
It was released in 1998, and is a pretty excellent overview of her solo career, with the majority of her singles, some classic album tracks, a few rare b-sides, and her soundtrack appearances.

If you don't want to invest in the boxed-set, I'd suggest either 'Bella Donna,' 'The Wild Heart,' or 'Trouble In Shangri-La'... to start off with.

Regardless of his intentions, it's an extremely inappropriate and offensive comment. And unless I'm completely missing something, there's nothing funny about it...

Then you obviously didn't see his thread on the Chit Chat board... or his constant use of the F-word, Johnny.

Listen, if he wants to post, that's fine with me; more power to him. But he doesn't have to be so offensive and careless in doing so. Things would go much smoother if people could post in a decent manner.

Just my opinion, but I'm sure most feel that way.

Yikes, you're right... I hadn't seen that.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

I reported that thread to Janet and then proceeded to post to every other thread on that page (with a little help from a few freinds) so that it would not be visible on the first page of the Chit Chat forum. I thought it was an emabarrassment.
This person obviously needs to get attention, however there are far more positive ways to get it.

I noticed that! I thought you might have developed carpal-tunnel syndrome after that posting frenzy.

And I agree completely.

PS: Your quite welcome, Johnny; I just hope that thread gets (or got) deleted. It was appalling.

Hence the "What is you favorite fabric?" thread. It turned out okay though.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I reported his post to Johnny Stew because it was just so rude and inappropriate--there's no need for it on here.

I hate to do so, but I edited a few of the above posts, to remove the offending comments.
With those comments removed, if anyone wishes to further edit or delete their posts, feel free to do so... though it's not necessary.

Hopefully we can try to start with a clean-slate now.

And I thank everyone for helping to "police" the boards.
As moderators, we all try to do our best to keep things running smoothly, but some things do slip by us on occasion... so we appreciate it when Ledgies point things out to us that we may have missed.

You know I'm only kidding with you; thanks, Johnny!
