but it doesn't really matter though, right? i mean... the band still got paid what they were supposed to be paid... it's the promoter and the venue that absorbed the costs...

"Jeske said that it won't be known how much revenue, if any, the Alerus Center will keep from the Fleetwood Mac concert until negotiations have concluded."

so... this means that some poor old ice fishermen in north dakota might not get their proper share cause the promoter already guaranteed mick john stevie and lindsey a set amount of money and as a result they might have to dip into the venue's pocket to pay the band? why doesn't the promoter pay for it? i mean hell, the promoter is still making money on this tour... if they had done some better PROMOTIONS maybe more tickets would have sold.... to go and take every bit of north dakota's share seems pretty messed up...

if i got this wrong let me know somebody....

Yeah, it matters. They're still getting paid, but they're getting paid knowing the fact that people in that area aren't willing to pay *ridiculous* amounts of money to see them.

I posted the article for a few reasons. One, alot of people have asked about how the shows are booked, what the band's take is, etc. and it says it all there in black and white. My point is, if they lowered the ticket prices to under a $100 then I think the show would sell much better. Wouldn't it be more fun to play to a packed house every night? The house would make more money this way as they depend on the revenue from concessions to make their dollar. Some of the venues are owned by the promoter so they would benenfit this way too. And yeah, it sucks that the Alerus Center is going to get stiffed.
