Walter Egan performed the song even before Fleetwood Mac did and he said Lindsey told him to stop. Or he said Stevie told him she liked his version of the song, but since it was going to be on the next Mac album Lindsey put the kibosh on Egan continuing to do it.

I had no idea Walter ever performed the song, thanks for the heads up! Here's a version... obviously to me it just sounds totally wrong hearing anyone other than Fleetwood Mac perform Sisters.

His is rather fast and sing-songy allowing the drama and mystery of the song to escape out like a bucket with a gaping hole.

I had no idea, too.
But I find his version very adorable and I really like it.
I have to say - I'm surprised about myself... I do love the studio version and the live version from 1982 so much, but yet i totally dig SOTM 2013 and also the Walter Egan-version.
It's obviously not that easy to mess up a perfect song.

I find this interesting because most of the time we get to hear a cover of the final product, but in this case we have both Fleetwood Mac's and Walter Egan's approach to the same demo.

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm just dying to hear if the song evolves any tonight, and throughout the rest of the tour for that matter. I'm still really amazed at how good Stevie's vocals were on the song, and how well the song works after all these years. It definitely needs some tweaking, but the issues it has are pretty piddley, in my opinion.

^My only "gripe" is that it seemed to be lacking that eerie vibe that they had on the '82 tour. Also I think the song should've been another 2 minutes long... you know, stretch it out like they have been doing with Gold Dust Woman... give it more oompf by having a real long intro and outro.

I'm very glad they didn't do a piano intro to Sisters. It was rock and roll the whole time. Wish there was more drama to it, but glad they are doing it at all. On Not That Funny, it ended too soon. I much preferred the 82 version. All the "yeah yeah's" just were not the same as Lindsey and his 82 theatrics of the song. I just wish they would do more songs from their catalogue because other than Sisters, Not That Funny, Without You and Sad Angel, the rest have all been done before numerous times. I guess it is a greatest hits tour again. Am disappointed by that, but can't miss out, have to go.

Totally agree. Like on Rhiannon from days of old when they played a little while and then Stevie starts screaming. Gives more drama.

Hear hear! I'd love to see them make a real "event" of this song in the set.

After 90 seconds I clicked it away. I think it's too much of a rebuilt to get through. I can't stand the around flying "sisters", and Mick just doesn't drive it the way he has to. I miss the hooky accents he adds on the original and the old liveversions. But I totally miss the guitar-energy. I think it's a real bore.

I agree, Louie, and I definitely think it will get better as the tour progresses. Stevie's mature voice sounded really fantastic on it -- they just need to build on the song's atmosphere and inherent eeriness (like Brandon said).

Stevie's voice mature voice sounds great on it as I suspected. Actually I'm kinda diggin that they are playing it pretty close to the actual Tusk studio recording (w/ minor vocal modifications) than the 8 minute blistering "Tusk" & "Mirage" tour versions which would be completley unrealistic & unachievable energy and vocal-wise.

"Sisters" is probably more strange & wierd in 2013 than ever before for the casual Fleetwood Mac concert going fan, and I love it & hope it freaks peeps out...in a good way
Stevie hasn't written & recorded a song so eerie and freaky, well, since Sisterzzzzzzzzzzz
