"Beautiful Child" vs "Say Goodbye" was the toughest call. I think they're both incredibly beautiful.

I wonder what would change if you changed the match-ups. Actually what might be more telling is to have people order each track listing according to their own preference from most to least and and then match up each #1, each #2, etc. The hard way of doing this obviously would be to use a randomizer to come up with the match-ups and do the exercise a multiple number of times and see what averages out.

But it's still a cool idea I could tell you off the bat that I prefer Tusk much more to Say You Will. I'm 16:2 in favor of Tusk with 2 toss-ups. I guess I could split them and go 17:3.

We think so much alike, and I like your post in the Mirage vs Tango thread about LB's 50's style. This is why I love his songs on Mirage, as well.

This is an experiment to see which fans are really paying attention and what they would choose if it was one or the other. It would be so much easier for most if I listed Beautiful Child vs Silver Girl; Tusk vs Say Goodbye, etc.

But hey I kinda like the idea of The List and then compare the others' results.

I picked What's The World Coming To rather than Over and Over cos I think it is a better song to open an album with. It has never made sense to me starting Tusk with such a slow song (as beautifully sung as it is). Had they been further down the track listing I would have voted the other way. And even my version of 'That's Enough For Me', sung in the shower would have beaten Silver Girl...................

So, No surprise here: 17 and/or 15 Tusk tracks and 3/5 SYW tracks make the perfect album.

• • In the event of a “TIE”vote (there were several), it was at my discretion to chose the winning song. In that case, I chose the one with least amount of votes (not that it really mattered at that point). This is why it is important to just chose “one”. Please don't make me decide to break a TIE.
  • Interestingly enough for songs LB received 9 votes, SN 7, CM 4
  • I'm surprised (and secretly delighted) that Say Goodbye received 3 votes and Silver Girl received 1, none of them mine, while Smile At You received Zero votes.
  • Equally surprising is that Not Make Believe received 4 votes vs Never Forget. (The harmonies on this one are beautiful).
  • Never Make Me Cry only got 1 vote (mine). I'm not crazy about the song, but I recently heard the Demo and it is gorgeous, worth a listen.
