I think calling it a "farewell" tour and then going back out shortly thereafter will be confusing because most would not get that subtlety.

The Christine "farewell" tour would be in 2014/15....after the new album............That would allow them to tour as a foursome again in 2018......perhaps another "farewell" tour because they will be getting really old by then.

I've seen rock n roll bands milk this "farewell" thing for all it's worth.......

From what I've read, they only plan on quitting when they die. I'm glad they're not doing the "farewell" thing.



(Yes, I work for a band that did a "farewell" tour in 2004. But, it was the "classic" line from 93-96 that reunited in 2010. So, technically, it WAS the farewell tour for the people not in the classic line-up, which was everybody but Robert Pollard.)
