I read an article somewhere where Mick talks about Stevie renting a house in Hawaii two minutes from him and his family (Lynn and kids) and that she was with them all the time. There was also a quote from Stevie saying Mick's wife Lynn was her "new best friend". Somehow the passage you quote made me think of that article....
