I've always wondered what the reasoning is in releasing different singles in other countries. Love in Store was released in the US at the same time Oh Diane was in the UK.

Not many people like the song so I doubt it would win anyway. Most Ledgies seem to be split on the decision so I guess its up to me!

There is so little to hate about Oh Diane, if only because it's such a small song, both in it's brief length and scant lyrics. It's more of a sketch than it is a song. It certainly fits in with Lindsey's predisposition (on the Mirage album) to a retro 1950's style.

It's a non-offensive, inconsequential, pleasant but paper-thin slice of music. But it does completely baffle me that it got traction in Europe, and was a hit. It's even featured on their single disc version of The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac. I have the single 45 picture sleeve single, as well as the 12" inch single with artwork featuring the French Penguin logo. I love that more than the song.

But why the overkill about your desire to kill Diane? She's barely a blip on the radar. Your desire to kill concerns me! Oh Viv!

Note: Has anyone noticed that the lol icon is not what it should be?
