Yeah, I saw the Eagles video about a week and a half ago...I was not impressed. Although it may be surprising to many people that I'm not really impressed with The Eagles at all. I cringe when I hear Hotel California, one of the most overrated songs imo. Good? Yes, but for crying out loud, I think it was listed as #5 on Rolling Stones's greatest pop songs of all time.

In any case, I wanted to ask the Pittsburgh area ledgies if they've heard Say You Will on the radio? I have not heard it yet, although I'm not listening to the radio at all...the only reason I heard Peacekeeper so much was because I'd listen to the radio on my 45 minute commute to and from school before SYW (the album) was released. Those who listen to the radio more, is it getting more airplay yet?

I haven't heard it on any of the Pittsburgh stations yet, which surprises me... but I have heard it a few times on Mix 94.1, out of Canton, OH.

I only listen to about 40 minutes of radio a day, so hopefully the Pgh. stations are playing it, and I'm just not hearing it.

As far as Pittsburgh stations, I think our best bet would be 92.9...they played "Peacekeeper" a LOT. I haven't heard "Say You Will" yet, but then again, I haven't been listening to the radio that often. The only thing I can suggest is to call during their all-request lunch hour with Vicki Cohill. I did that back in March, when "Peacekeeper" was frist released, and she played it.

Well, this afternoon I heard it on The Mix 97.3 (just how many of these stations are called "The Mix" anyhow?), out of Wheeling, WV (given my location, I not only pick up Pittsburgh stations, but also ones from certain parts of Ohio and West Virginia as well).

Weird thing is, they played a version different from what we've (or at least I've) heard so far.
This was most definitely not the album version, because it had the new guitar parts, and Stevie's new vocals on the second verse... but it wasn't the "cold" or faded mixes either.

Towards the end, Stevie & Lindsey's vocals sort of melted into the background, with the girls' voices coming into prominence... much like the album version... but the girls then sang the entire chorus once thru with absolutely no change in the sound-level, and then the song just ended.

It was a cool mix, and much better than the faded one (though I still think I prefer the "cold" edit).

So now I have another version to track down!
What a nerd I am.

I heard SYW on the radio on Friday (July 11th). It was the remix with the fade I believe on 102.7 in NYC. I heard it in the afternoon while driving upstate. Was glad to hear it played!

I'm not sure who it was that said that Mac didn't get the promotion/publicity that Madonna got--I think it was Rob. Anyway, They got plenty of promo...Morning Show, Profiled by Dateline or something like that and they were all over AOL, including artist of the month.
Without a major it, the album, even with the promotion, is a tough sell.
