CAD - that's exactly what Lindsfan and i were kicking around, except Teen Beat didn't occur to us, and we were trying to figure out whether instrumental intros should also be supplemented by spoken intros.

so you have 8 there... was there another spoken intro on OOTC? for some reason i keep thinking there was... and those are all instrumental intros there?

after we kick around this idea a bit to make sure we have all these various intros and instrumentals, do you feel like making this one too, CAD? all together one poll, instrumentals & intros, i guess?
Sure, I can make it. Any additions? I'm not too sold on including the spoken intros in the same poll as instrumentals but it's a shame to leave them out too unless there are more considerations.

great!!

i can't think of any others so instrumentals and intros (spoken or instrumental) poll would be:

Instrumental Introduction To Don't Look Down
Instrumental Introduction To This Is the Time
Spoken Introduction To Surrender the Rain
Spoken Introduction To Go Insane / Sardonic Poem
This Nearly Was Mine
Django
Stephanie
Teen Beat

It would be difficult to include in a poll, but there are some gems in LB's live work. The most recent being a new intro to NGBA on Songs from the Small Machine (SWS Tour). Perhaps my favorite is his intro to Not That Funny from the Dance tour. I also like the upbeat Intro to Over My Head (FM Live album, Tusk Tour). The intro to Oh Daddy on the Tusk tour is great as well (Tusk tour, St. Louis bootleg). While the intros to Go Your Own Way are similar, I prefer the guitar work on the FM Live in Boston from the SYW tour ("fat" sounding guitar work). I am sure that there others. It is interesting that the song Tusk came out these live jam sessions.

He also did a funky country thing live in BN. Some have said that was NGBA but I don't hear it. Of course, I never heard Stephanie in EOTW and BAD until recently either...

hmm... since we only have 2 more spaces, which 2 should we add of all these suggestions? maybe intros to his songs - like GYOW intro(s) and NGBA intro he added during Unleashed and SWS tours, since they happened more than a few times and many people have heard it?

or do you want to get rid of some or all of spoken intros and replace with some of these?

i really think we should have only one poll for all intros and instrumentals, with up to 10 options, especially since some instrumentals were already included in other polls.

Personally, I lean toward only recorded instrumentals or introductions - even though that means eliminating the Sardonic Poem which I love...thoughts?

only recorded is fine as far as i'm concerned... agree that otherwise possibilities skyrocket and become endless.

but sardonic poem in on the dance and soundstage, which are official recordings / DVDs so i'd consider that legit.
