Went against the majority and voted for Pt 2, although I like both songs. Strangely, "You and I, Pt 2" was the first track I heard from TITN; it was played on my local Top 40 station shortly before the album was released. The DJ didn't identify the artist and my first impression was that it was a catchy, bouncy tune and I was pretty sure (but not certain) that it was a track from the upcoming FM album. Not knowing what to expect from TITN, it sounded radically different than anything FM had done up to that point.

I understand the criticisms of Pt 2 and, in truth, the song didn't wear that well after multiple listens. But I still have a fondness for it since it reminds me of that sneak peek I heard on the radio.

I didn't hear Pt 1 at all until about 10 years ago. It's a pleasant song but it feels like a lyric idea that wasn't fully completed, then dressed with glossy production. But I do think it should have been included on TITN, in place of "Caroline" or "Family Man".
