Crabs are too much work! And Kwell stinks! (I ONLY know about Kwell, because a band I used to do sound for, had a song called Kwell Smell)
If I were rich, I'd have a personal crab cracker! Let them do all the work, and put the meat on my plate!

Smoked salmon and asparagus. I'm officially drooling!!!!
I need to watch the weather, for the last few days we have left for cooking out. I'd like to smoke a few things before winter officially SUCKS for us. It's raining today.....

What the hell is kwell?

The only kwell I've ever heard of is a preparation to kill head lice!

Oh, I don't fiddle with my own crab - I only ever have it when it's been prepped ready to eat!

Yeah, it was a crabs joke!

Well, we were on vacation in Texas once, and we stopped at some steakhouse, which happened to have ~all you can eat crab legs~ as the special. I got it, while the rest of my family got steaks. Well, crab legs are so time consuming, that they were all finished with their meals, by the time I was just starting on my second plate of crab legs. And they kept on, "HURRY the Hell up, David!" at me. (in their defense, we were on a roadtrip to a casino, thus the rush)

So I decided that day, that crab legs are just too time consuming! Every time I think of ordering crab legs, I can hear my fam damily, yelling at me to hurry up!
Patience, is a virtue that I don't possess.

Sorry, cheap jokes are my forte!

No, but it sounds great. I really never met seafood I didn't like. Well, except the time I tried to cook calamari at home. In the calamari's defense, I wasn't really a real cook yet, so it was probably my fault!

S'okay - I'm not usually so slow to catch on!

Last time I had Soft Shell Crab it was infused with hot Indian spices - incredible! Although it was really hot and spicy the crab flavour still came through.

Why is it that whenever this thread is active, it's always you two having an in-depth discussion, lol? Am I the only one on the board with a completely blasé, "Whatever" attitude towards food?

I just eat whatever's given to me and get on with it, you aren't the only one.

Then the next time you open this thread, you should be HIGHLY suspicious, that ~FOODIES~ are occupying a DINNER thread!!!

For me, it's really weird.....I wasn't really a foodie, UNTIL I lost my fat self!(and honestly, I'm glad you brought this up, because it made me realize WHY I've become a foodie). I think the ~before me~, just ate whatever sh*t was in front of me. 80 lbs lost(I have gained 10 back), and I got to where I only eat one meal a day. So I've kind of gotten to where I want that one meal, to be DELICIOUS, but still not too fattening. So I cook fairly elaborate meals, 7 days a week. I love to cook, and I love the challenge of making something really good, that doesn't have 3000 calories!!! And when I'm traveling, I'm obsessed with finding new restaurants on Urbanspoon.

Today, the menu was simple....Spicy garlic hot wings, with blue cheese and celery(of course!). I'm on a mission, of cleaning out my freezer...

Hey, me and my "food twin" think that seafood, cheese, and anything hot and spicy is worth endless discussion!

How much do I love food? Almost as much as I love Lindsey!

And people who don't like food, shouldn't open the thread, not expecting a FOOD discussion!

We really were separated at birth!!!!!!

Although I am not doing as well as you have done David.

I had 75 lbs to lose - so far I have only managed to lose 21 lbs. But I am at one meal a day and I also want that meal to be delish.

I reckon I need another 21 lbs off before I can see a real difference, but at least I am smaller by 2 sizes.

I have quite a few friends that have lost a bunch of weight, and we all say that it's a life long effort! Seriously. For me, it's just all about living within my set of rules. Deviation will only lead me back to those fat clothes. And I would rather live within these rules, than eat whatever I want, all the time.

Sunday night, my friend sprang for two large supreme pizzas. Everyone there pigged out, and tried to get me to only eat one piece. But.I.didn't. And it was hard not to, but I'm firm in my resolve. I like 28" jeans more than pizza!

Congrats on the 21 lbs!!! Just remember that vegetables are your friend!

Thanks! And I do love my veggies!!!

I do try to eat healthily - my problem is portion control.

Big appetite = big lass!

And it's SO hard in the winter months!
