I think the Dylan story is classic...interesting how you can learn new things every damn day, eh?

Though...if it's July '87...that's post-Betty Ford.

Did Stevie really hook up with Waddy at one point? Do you know what timeframe? I don't think I was aware of this!

I don't really know what time frame it was....but rumour has it that they did hook up at one point....I want to say it was either during belladonna or wild heart, but I could be totally off on this one....it could have been later. Anyone know???

I remember hearing in interviews that Stevie mentioned Joe Walsh as being one of her great loves.
She and Mick have mentioned that soul mate thing that they had.
Great love # three has never been identified but I would hope it is Lindsey since they were together for quite awhile and she does say that she loved him before he was famous and how she took care of him, sewing stars and things on his jeans.

I know. I thought about that after I found out the dates. I never asked what drugs were floating around (it was a Dead show after all ). So it may have been pot. I just assumed it was the other.

Wow... thanks for sharing that story! I wish she would write her damn autobiography!
Bah, who needs her? It'd be much more juicy if we wrote it for her :P

Check out the TimeSpace liner notes about If Anyone Falls.
They were definitely together.
Also, in the Whole Lotta Trouble tour book description of If Anyone Falls, Stevie calls Waddy "simply irresistable."
Now, isn't that what you were thinking the first time you saw him?
(I kid, but the truth is I think Waddy is an amazing guitarist who seems like a nice, modest guy. Stevie has done worse.)

Hi folks--
Here's a lyric that I've always wondered about:

Well the two of us, well we must be...
A great temptation to have even started
Well don't you know, as you walk on by
That great temptations never really die...

Well I talked to my famous friend last night
My third day up...well, his second nighter
He says, "I don't know how you do what you do...how do you
let the world in?"
Well I say, "Well there's no way out..."
Then I just play out the game
Well the two of us...Widow and a Dove

So who the heck is she talking about here?

Im a HUGE Deadhead... I know of the Dead/Dylan tour it was in 1987. They played locally to my house at Anaheim stadium in CA. Im stunned about Bob & Stevie, but not surprised. She's had a few men in her lifetime.

Im not sure the "6 weeks in a foreign country" is about him though... maybe the 6 weeks is a part of their time together, but Aussies and UK and US speak english just sounds different. So go figure re destiny rules... it may be an amalgam of her times with Lindsey, Don, etc. in addition to Bob.

Three loves...

Id say Mick wasnt one. Too short of a time "together" despite their years and years in a band together. I think she says that to make him feel good and they are in the same band... doesnt want to hurt his feelings. My take is:

Lindsey
Don
Joe

Shortly behind:
Rupert
Waddy
Mick
Jimmy

I agree w/Jake too... no way Kim Anderson was one of them. I often wonder if she's ever contacted Kim & Robin's son... she said she would one day... and he's of age by now.
