TJs does carry some quas-international fare (veggie dumplings, curries, pad thai, etc.), but it's hardly enough to replace a real ethnic grocery. They don't carry soba noodles or seaweed. The reason why TJ will not run other businesses out of business is that their selection is very, very limited. So, I had a nice productive day!
Searched out the Trader Joes in Nashvegas! And later ate a Diner, Drive-Ins, and Dives, featured establishment.
So, Trader Joes....I liked it, a lot! It was much more of a traditional type grocery store, than I imagined. Dog food, cleaning supplies, etc...
However, due to Tennessee's archaic blue laws, grocery stores aren't allowed to sell wine, so they only have beer...no Two Buck Chuck! I talked with a stock girl, for about 20 minutes(people in TN, are the friendliest people in the world), and she said TJ's probably wouldn't be doing any more expanding here, unless that law would change, because wine is a BIG part of their business.
