It could all be an elaborate ruse to fluster Lindsey Buckingham, but I'd hope Stevie isn't that childish in her 60s. To me it seems more likely that they're all just trying to properly set the stage for the next Fleetwood Mac project by being involved in each other's current solo works. I think they all badly want to right the course after Say You Will, and they know they have to establish personal trust to do that.

It's hard to tell if she's been insecure or just plain unsatisfied with the sales of TISL & SYW. I suspect a bit of both. Industry people & management telling her why bother recording new material with all the pirating & her conscience wondering if she could artistically top TISL. But alas she is now in a place (according to one of her Aug. interviews) where she is on record saying she's not all that concerned if it sells a ton or not - which bodes well for creativity

. Hauling millions of tour $$$ from 03' through 09' certainly did not hurt either. Ultimately, I think Stevie needs this to be her time to shine as a solo artist and wrap a perfect bow around her solo career per say...in order for her to be happy recording with FM one more time.
