Dan Hawkins got fired as CU's football coach, due to the loss to Kansas and all the negativity going around in the press and the state about him. I feel badly. He was a nice guy who tried to clean up CU --- "The Drinking School with a Football Problem."
I was hoping he could finish the season, but it's immediate. His kid Cody is the quarterback, since Tyler Hansen got hurt. Cody sounded very postive at the noon press conference. As my friend Fred says "There are only two types of coaches. Those who have been fired and the ones who are gonna get fired." Last edited by Betsy; 11-09-2010 at 05:05 PM..
