In the liner notes for TISL, Stevie thanks Warner/Reprise for giving her a "new contract". Several years ago, either in an Interview with Stevie or someone at Warners (I can't remember which) we found out that the new contract was for three albums. Does anyone else remember this? I could be mistaken.
My query is this...if she did indeed sign a new contract before TISL for three albums, then her contract would be expired, right? 1. TISL 2. Crystal Visions 3. Soundstage Yes, the last two are "best of" and "live", but in contracts with labels, they do count as new albums. So does this mean, what with the upcoming release of her new solo record, that Stevie signed a new contract? If so, I wonder if it was for more than one record. |
