I did a quick search and didn't come across this song on the "let's talk about" series.
This song is so powerful!! I love to listen to it when I'm feeling particularly helpless in a situation, and I can just belt out that powerful-woman message and feel better. Stevie has said this is her "meanest" song (even though she's said that about at least one other song), and I can feel the "mean" she's talking about. However, I mostly feel like she is just bare-bones stating her case without the worry of hurting anyone. Just taking control of that single moment in time where you think "I've had enough, and this is what I'm gonna say about it." I've read a few interpretations of the lyrics, and I have a few of my own, but no matter what Ms. Nicks had in mind, this song is brilliant. I love it, and I love the way she belted it out on the Soundstage Sessions, actually punching the air during the performance...go Stevie!!! |
