Gotta Love Springsteen

[Betsy]

Bruce Springsteen is doing "song requests" on his tour. Fans bring signs requesting tunes they want to hear. Bruce and the Band deliver.

From BruceSpringsteen.net

"During the sign collection phase, Bruce grabbed it, started to tuck it under his arm, and then realized who "this guy" was. The look on his face was utter disbelief and then laughter. It was precisely the reaction I'd hoped for. When Bruce grabbed another "Growin' Up" sign from a young boy, I knew we were golden.

Eventually, my sign emerged from the pile and made its way to the microphone stand. Bruce showed it to the only member of the band who might actually know who "that guy" was. Steve struggled to contain his fits of laughter as Bruce announced to the audience, 'Who IS this guy'? The best part is that he never told the audience that it was him. It was like a private joke between myself, Bruce, and Steve."

(A short personal note to Stew Matthews -- Thank you for pointing me in the direction of the Boss. He puts on a helluva show...and....I got to hear Cadillac Ranch live...)
