Stand back Britney: Stevie Nicks will school you
Stevie Nicks has some words for Britney Spears. “You have to pay your dues to be a real rockstar,” she admonishes the pop singer.
In 2004, Rob Sheffield wrote in Rolling Stone, "Stevie Nicks is more than a rock icon; she's the high priestess of her own religion, ruling a world of prancing gypsies, gold-dust princesses, and white-winged doves, all without going anywhere near a sensible shoe." Nicks tells Extra what she really thinks about today’s pop princess, Britney Spears. When Penacoli asks how Spears’ rise to fame was different than her journey, Nicks responds, “It's different in that Britney [Spears] did not join a band when she was 18 and play everyday for five hours Monday through Thursday and then play gigs Friday, Saturday and usually Sunday….You have to pay your dues to be a real rockstar.” Nicks’ new CD/DVD “The Soundstage Sessions: Live in Chicago” is in stores now. http://www.monstersandcritics.com/pe...ill_school_you
