I just don't get where the recording of SYW was that bad! They've all been talking about it in the press for some time, but watching Destiny Rules just seems to point otherwise to me. Their interaction seemed wholly positive to me. Yes, they had their catfights, but overall Lindsey seemed MORE than patient and nice towards Stevie. They seemed to have great chats about the past, present, and future. Lindsey had such patience to work with Stevie's mostly raw songs for nearly a year. Remember how he dealt with her when it came time to do backing vocals on his songs? "You can do as many takes as you like until you get tired, and then we'll make something wonderful out of it." How much nicer and easier could he have been with her??

Everyone seemed to be in synch in general about most everything. John was more involved than ever, seems he and Lindsey didn't have any issues. Mick seemed to be wholly positive and uplifting towards absolutely everybody. Of course, there is a ton that went on which we'll never see. But in my eyes, there are just as many things for Lindsey to be upset about with Stevie as the other way around. Her work ethic didn't seem too great (he was there more days a week, more hours a day), she wasn't there for the first half of the recording of the album, she seemed to want the whole project revolved around her and her songs (remember how she only wanted to play HER non-Fleetwood Mac demos to the record execs?), etc. Yes, Lindsey was bullish in regards to the double album concept, and drug his feet signing contracts... but otherwise, he seemed to be pretty low key for Lindsey.
