When I saw Peter with the Splinter Group for the first time in September of 1998 at the Long Beach Blues Festival, John Mayall was also on the bill. After Mayall did his set, they had a big all-star jam...Peter & Ronnie Earl played together on one number, it was fantastic! The lineup of the "All-Star Jam":
John Mayall: Keyboard, harmonica, vocals Peter Green: guitar Ronnie Earl: guitar Kim Simmonds: guitar Mick Taylor: guitar (mainly slide) Peter Stroud: bass (of the Splinter Group) Jim McCarty: drums (from the Yardbirds) Keith Emerson: organ
