What do you think?
I think it is a slick ad. However, it is misleading if not outright untrue. Obama is not for more dependence on foreign oil. Here is what he is for in this area http://www.barackobama.com/issues/energy/ -- which essentially is alternate and/or cleaner energy sources. Also, Obama is not for drilling for more oil in the US because he realizes that even if we begin to utilize the largest estimates of the oil in the ground 10 years from now, it will not really make a significant dent (5-10% ) in what America consumes daily and it will eventually run out in 20-30 years, when we will have to look for alternate and/or cleaner energy sources ![]() Does McCain think Americans are that stupid? As for the comparison to air headed celebrities - it is catchy and IMO fair game, though the comparison is unfair as Obama is far from dumb and he, unlike those he is compared to, has accomplished many things politically, though not nearly as much as McCain. Did anyone get a Hitler vibe from the ad? I kind of did with all the crowds screaming and the way it was shot. |
