I was watching Stevie Nicks complain about a fat poet that attacked her when she innocently asked for a cigarette. As I watched, I picked up a cassette tape and began eating it. Chewy was how it tasted, rank. This all happened in a big warehouse with lots of books. I had a bed in the middle, white sheets mussed from constant lack of constancy. Stevie did not hear me try & join in her diatribe, mouth full of tape, but she seemed to get more & more upset, & there was nothing I could do but vomit up what turned out to be a copy of her first solo album, Edge of Seventeen included, & maybe that's how old I looked.
