I have been wondering.
Bill Clinton used "Don't Stop" as a campaign theme, because he liked the song. It just so happened to be one of the songs on Rumours, one of the most successful selling records, which baby boomers, who were also registered voters, bought in droves. I think voters identified with him and his choice of music. (I think George H. W. Bush , that same year, used "Happy Days are Here Again" at the Republican National Convention, but I may be wrong.) If a candidate were to choose a song off another popular CD, which appealed to 18-40 year old voters, what song do you think that would be? |
