It could have been a money thing for her. The last ER visit we did (the 7 month old Cary Grant swallowed a rock  ) was almost $3,000. It would have been at the absolute most < $500 and more like $150 at the regular vet. I am not saying that was the case in your deal, but that does happen. So, maybe that was why she was insisting on seeing you all.
