Stevie beat used in hip hop song?

[ERigby818]

I was in a bar in NYC a couple of weeks ago with friends and grooving to some mellow hip hop song that was in the background. Then my ears perked up and I was like "Where have I heard this?" It took me a second, but I swear the instrumental part of the song was the demo I Call You Missing (also known as She Calls You Missing). I told my friends, "Hey, this beat is from a Stevie Nicks demo from like 1985!" And they were like "Sonia, you have to bring Stevie Nicks into every conversation."
So, has anyone else heard this? I didn't hear enough of the song to get any more info and I couldn't find the dj, if there was one. I suppose I could be wrong, since I did have a couple of beverages that night, but I swear that's what it was. If there are any hip hop connoisseurs on the ledge or if you know one, I'd sure like to know. I can email a not-so-good quality version of the demo if anyone wants to look into this.
