I think the guy is a bonehead. And that he has problems with his temper. It was up to the network and the production company to deal with whatever rules of his employment he violated. There were stories that he is a jerk in general, as well. So, if he's a jerk and makes the workplace unpleasant, I suppose they'll fire him.

But for the record, I wasn't offended or hurt when I heard about it.
