Crowds aren't unusual at Costco, especially when the warehouse store is giving away samples of the latest food item to hit the shelves. But the large group that gathered at the end of the liquor aisle in the Mission Valley store late Sunday afternoon suggested something bigger.

Sitting behind a small table, to the surprise of many shoppers, was rock music superstar Mick Fleetwood signing bottles of his signature wine.

People clustered around the pony-tailed Fleetwood Mac founder and took pictures of him with cell phone cameras, while a line of autograph seekers - many with shopping carts in tow and bottles in hand - snaked down an entire aisle.

Fleetwood's stop in San Diego marked the end of a three-month tour of southern California Costco stores that are selling several of his Mick Fleetwood Private Cellar vintages.
