Your parents & siblings taste in music

[DrummerDeanna]

I still wonder to this day what the hell my mom did throughout the 70s. She has pretty much no knowledge of any of the popular music of the era. She STILL doesn't quite know who Stevie Nicks is...I'll be happy if I can get her to stop pronouncing it "steh-vee" Grrr....and no, she has no accent of any kind

She liked the Beatles - but the early stuff, other than that Elvis, Paul and Paula, Paul Anka...some country...she had some Johnny Cash albums (which I stole) but I think they were my ex-dads.

I got a lot of my music taste from my sister and from tv

Sister:
The Beatles, esp. Paul McCartney, Wham!, Fleetwood Mac, Monkees...some 80s stuff....

I'm right there with her on the Beatles and FM - and we do like a ton of the same artists - but I've discovered much more on my own: Sheryl Crow, The COunting Crows, The Decemberists....lots and lots...
